Did you know that color is energy made visible? It has the most
immediate emotional impact of all the elements in an interior
designer’s toolbox. Color can revive and renew not only our
                               interiors/exteriors, but also our spirits.

The process of color selection can be intriguing, deceptive, and
at times, downright frustrating. Let’s consider what creating a
                                winning color palette involves.

We need to choose colors that define each space, create the desired
mood, transition harmoniously from room to room, and appeal to
us. That’s no small task. Often we discover that paint colors look
radically different on a wall than they do on a paint chip. It takes a
color expert to predict how that small chip of color will translate
on to a surface as large as a wall, ceiling, or floor.

Then there’s the emotional impact of color. Consider for a moment
the colors that you’re drawn to, and colors that don’t appeal to you.
You’re not alone in these biases. We all have visceral reactions to color.
Our color biases are often related to our own hair, eye, and skin coloring
(in other words, colors that we have a deep familiarity with). Our color
biases can also stem from our past experiences with certain colors,
or they can be a response to current color trends.

Defining your personal color preferences is essential for designing
a palette that will appeal to you. That’s why Barbara begins her
consultation by asking you what colors you are drawn to.

She also considers the architecture of the site, the type of building
materials, (for instance, what covers the floor, walls, and ceiling),
the natural and artificial light of the environment, the existing
furnishings, the mood you’d like in the room, and the activities
performed there. Once Barbara has all of this information, she
applies her knowledge of color theory to create fresh and
uniquely personal color palettes for you. She will leave you with
a detailed specification sheet listing all of the information that
your painter will need to complete your project.

            Whether you’re moving
                into a new place,
            remodeling your home,
            or redefining a room,
            Chroma 7 has the tools,
            techniques,
            and experience
            to creatively assist you
           in transforming
            your space in a uniquely
           personal way.

Jeremy and I wanted you to know how much we’ve appreciated your help with both of our homes
over the past few years. Instead of imposing your own preferences, you really took the time to get to
know us and what feels like home to us. You were able to help us make huge improvements through
           the use of color…

Needless to say, we are thrilled with the results. We are always getting comments from our friends
and guests about how beautiful and warm and comfortable they find our home…
Thanks for all your help and support.
~Anne Hardy, Marketing Consultant, Seattle, WA

       Kudos to you!
         People come in and
          LOVE the color. Some
          people from Boston were
          here last night and said,
          “We love how the colors
          move from room to room.”
          Exactly what you said
          would happen. HOW COOL.
          The house is really beautiful.

Barbara~~ I look forward to working with you again.
Thanks again for everything, my color guru. You are so much fun!
